Treatments
Sports massage offers powerful benefits not just for athletes, but for anyone dealing with everyday aches, tension, or physical strain. It helps to reduce pain caused by tight muscles, repetitive movements, and the build-up of waste products in the tissues.
Using targeted, deeper techniques than a relaxation massage, sports massage works directly into the muscle and soft tissue layers to release tension, improve movement, and support the body’s natural healing process
Your initial appointment is designed to give you the best possible care tailored to your body. This 1h15 appointment includes completion of client forms, medical history review, postural analysis, range-of-motion testing, a personalised treatment plan, and targeted sports massage treatment to support safe, effective recovery.
Dry cupping is a hands-on therapy that uses specially designed cups placed on the skin to create gentle suction. This negative pressure lifts the soft tissues, creating an upward stretch through the muscles and surrounding fascia. The lifting action helps increase blood flow, reduce muscle tension, ease discomfort, and support the removal of waste products from the tissues.
K-taping can be a valuable addition to your injury rehabilitation or massage, helping to support recovery and improve movement. It can also be booked as an add-on to your sports massage, particularly before an event, to provide extra support where it’s needed most.
The tape helps support muscles and joints, reduce discomfort, and provide a sense of stability and reassurance during activity, allowing you to move with greater confidence.
About Leanne …
Hi, I’m Leanne, a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and the owner of Shoreline Sports Massage based in Christchurch, Dorset.
What matters most to me is listening. Every session is client-led, respectful, and focused on helping you feel more at ease in your body. I genuinely love what I do, I love people, and I love seeing the progress that comes as pain eases, confidence grows, and movement feels freer again.
I work with a wide range of people from athletes and busy professionals to those dealing with everyday aches and pains or longer-term discomfort. I also regularly support clients post-injury, working alongside referrals from physiotherapists and chiropractors to aid recovery and improve mobility.
I hold Active IQ Level 3 and 4 qualifications in Sports Massage Therapy, and I’m trained in cupping, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) and kinesiology taping. My work combines both gentle, calming techniques and deeper, targeted treatment, always tailored to what your body needs on the day. My aim is to help reduce pain and tension, restore movement, and support your body’s natural healing process.
Client Reviews
“Leanne took time to discuss with me where I was experiencing pain and some restriction of movement. I found Leanne to be professional and warm in her communication which made me feel relaxed. I felt listened to throughout the assessment as Leanne checked in with me as she worked across different areas explaining what she was doing as she went. It was professional and thorough and I'm looking forward to our next session!”

“Brilliant, professional and highly recommended. Had an old sports injury that had bothered me for years. Other sports therapists had not been able to do much with me, but after a couple of sessions with Shoreline the problem was targeted and dealt with. Plus good stretching tips to help in the future.
In me, they have a customer for life! A+++”
